NOTE: You don't have to go to a 3rd world country for great fishing! Heck, Louisiana is a 3rd world - but it's safe - cheap - no language problems - New Orleans is one of the top 10 tourist cities in the world - the (non-fishing) wife can shop in New Orleans while you fish, blab blab blab.

The Tarpon Rodeo in Grand Isle is the oldest and largest competitive fishing rodeo in North America. It is usually held in July. For more information call (504) 469-7700.
